The Heron
The Heron Championship Course at Sparrow Lakes measures 6765 yards from the back tees but plays considerably longer due to the fact that many holes play directly into strong winds. Shot selection is key in order to stay out of the drink on the 13th and 18th holes, the latter of which is the course’s signature 180 yard par 3 which features a green that is almost completely protected by water!
The Sparrow
The original 18 holes at Sparrow Lakes are not comparable to any other golf course in Southern Ontario. Often referred to as a hybrid or “Championship Executive Course”, the track measures 4909 yards making it a challenging but still playable par 67. This unique golf experience takes on average 25% less time to play than a traditional championship style course, making it ideal for beginners, seniors, and juniors while still packing enough punch to challenge accomplished golfers.
