The first Palm Desert golf course opened in March 1958. The golf course challenges golfers of all abilities and rewards golfers who shape their shots and use their head more than their driver. With over 600 mature palm trees, the fairways are well defined and the challenging greens are protected by well placed sand bunkers. Tucked in the foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains of south Palm Desert, Shadow Mountain Golf Club is protected from the winds that plague many desert golf courses.
