Lora Bay

A bit of a throwback to classic golf architecture, and a living tribute to historic rural Ontario, The Golf Club at Lora Bay combines all that is great about the past with the convenience of all that is modern. Set in the Blue Mountains, overlooking Georgian Bay, the course incorporates all the wonderful elements this beautiful region has to offer. The course design flows beautifully along Nipissing Ridge, through various wildlife preserves, and also incorporates historically preserved barns and apple orchards.

The terrain is a mix of blue grass and fescue, giving the course a distinctive look that also allows for fast, firm play. The course’s “muscular” bunkers seem to bridge naturally into the design. They are high faced and often bordered on at least one front with fescue that can really hinder shots. Be sure to pick your approach line carefully, or the beauty of this course will be lost on you pretty quickly.

In its young 8 years The Golf Club at Lora Bay has been accredited with Provincial to Global accolades.
